JOB SUMMARY:

The Custom Railing Superintendent is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of custom railing projects within a construction company. This role involves managing a team of skilled craftsmen and coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure the successful installation of custom railings in accordance with project specifications and quality standards.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Manage multiple custom railing projects simultaneously, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to a team of skilled craftsmen, including assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and ensuring efficient resource utilization.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of custom railing systems, materials, and installation techniques to ensure compliance with industry standards and project requirements.
  • Coordinate with Clients field supervisor and in-house engineers, designers, and project managers to review plans, resolve technical issues, and ensure alignment on project goals.
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment for the team and project personnel.  OSHA 30 and CPR certified required.
  • Conduct regular inspections to monitor the quality of workmanship, materials, and finished products, addressing any deficiencies promptly.
  • Monitor project expenses, review material and labor costs, and identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily progress reports, field metrics, and other project-related records.
  • Interface with clients field supervision to address inquiries, provide updates, and ensure customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, advancements, and best practices related to custom railing systems, incorporating innovative approaches to enhance project execution and outcomes


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (preferred) OR equivalent experience in construction project management. Relevant work experience in railing system installations may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
  • Proven experience as a Superintendent or similar role in the construction industry, with a focus on custom railing projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of railing systems, installation techniques, and relevant building codes and regulations.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail.
  • Knowledgeable in reading and strictly adhering to contract drawings and specifications.
  • Proficiency in project management software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant tools.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.
