The Installation Controller for Railing Systems plays a vital role in coordinating and managing the installation processes for railing projects. This position involves overseeing the installation activities, ensuring timely completion, and maintaining effective communication with stakeholders. The Installation Controller collaborates with different teams to ensure successful project delivery and customer satisfaction in the railing systems industry.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Coordinate and schedule installation activities for various railing projects, considering project timelines, client requirements, and available resources.
- Allocate appropriate resources, including skilled technicians, necessary equipment, and high-quality materials, to railing installation projects based on project specifications and priorities.
- Develop detailed installation plans and schedules for railing systems, considering factors such as project budget, project complexity, manpower availability, and logistical requirements.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal teams regarding railing system installation-related matters. Provide regular updates, address any concerns or issues promptly, and ensure effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Identify and resolve scheduling/coordination-related problems, and challenges. Implement effective solutions to ensure timely completion of projects and customer satisfaction.
- Gather accurate records of railing system installation activities, including project progress, resource utilization, and any modifications or deviations from the original plan from Superintendents daily and make required adjustments to maintain scheduled installation time frames.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost optimization in railing system installations. Propose and implement enhancements to increase efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as engineering, construction management, or a related discipline is preferred. Relevant work experience in railing system installations may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
- Prior experience in coordinating and managing system installations or similar construction projects is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with scheduling of multiple ongoing projects at one time, proper allocation of manpower, and best practices for scheduling installation crews. Understanding technical drawings and specifications related to railing systems is advantageous.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple railing projects simultaneously and meet project deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with internal teams. Active listening and problem-solving capabilities are essential.
- Ability to collaborate and coordinate with cross-functional teams, including technicians, contractors, and project managers, involved in railing system installations.
- Meticulousness and accuracy in managing scheduling of railing system installation teams.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities, project requirements, and unexpected challenges that may arise during railing system installations.
